President

As President, Ben is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, for ensuring the successful delivery of all our firm’s projects and for the continued business development that comes with being a partner in a small business. Ben has associated skills in cost planning, procurement management, risk management, design management, constructability review, value engineering and project management as well as expertise in market analysis, conceptual estimating, cost forecasting and control and life cycle costing.

Senior Advisor

Wes acts in an advisory role in management, planning, estimating and project monitoring. Wes has a long history of experience in estimating and project monitoring as former President of Postma Quantity Surveying, owner of a regional general contractor and as chief estimator of a large national general contracting firm. These skills include experience in cost planning, constructability review, value engineering and project management as well as expertise in conceptual estimating and cost forecasting.

Senior Cost Consultant

Mike joined Postma Consulting Ltd in 2022 as a Senior Cost Consultant, following a successful career in the commercial construction industry spanning 40 years in estimating and project management. Mike has a professional reputation in the construction industry with Owners, Architects, Consultants and Subcontractors. He has a proven track record for managing multi-million-dollar projects concurrently that have produced satisfied and repeat customers and negotiated work. His background and connections in the commercial construction industry are a valued asset to the estimating team.

Senior Project Monitor

John has been working primarily as a project monitor and owners’ representative since 2016. Having worked on both sides of the industry (consultancy and construction delivery), his experience brings with it a wide range of responsibilities. It has been while pursuing his academic and operating as a member of both private and professional firms where he has amassed strategic skill sets that have led to specialties in project finance monitoring, contract form, building code functions, project budgeting, critical path/construction scheduling, site direction with consideration to financial coordination, and cash flow management. John currently serves in a volunteer capacity on Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyor’s Prairie & NWT Chapter Executive committee.

Eduard Langemann <br /> CEC, GSC, EIT

Cost Consultant

Ed joined Postma Consulting in 2020. Having previously worked for a general contractor and a home builder, Ed brings a broad knowledge base in both residential and commercial construction to the Estimating Team. In addition, his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering paired with his extensive project history over the past three years make him the go to for residential and health care projects. Ed is currently pursuing his professional engineering license.

Cost Consultant

Evan joined us in 2021 following a career in the commercial construction industry, specializing in building envelope solutions. Evan’s primary role is as project lead on our estimating team however he does also assist with project monitoring. Evan brings an extensive understanding of project costing, risk management, and commercial construction to all projects as well as many valuable connections within the commercial construction industry. Evan is currently in the process of attaining his Professional Quantity Surveyor designation.

Pamela Aplin

Project Monitor

Pamela is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Interior Design and has 7 years of construction industry experience. Prior to joining our firm in 2021 she worked in residential construction for one of Manitoba’s largest builders where she held positions in estimating and purchasing. As a member of our project monitoring team, her duties
include but not limited to preparing reports, tracking budgets, analysing costs, visiting project sites and communicating with clients and lenders alike. Pamela also assists with estimating duties when required. She is currently pursuing her Professional Quantity Surveyor Designation (PQS).

Project Monitor

Raza brings a wide background of experience from inside both small and large firms since 2018. His understanding of construction means and methods, master format, project documents and construction budgeting/finance are highlights of this experience.  Raza current role is as Project Monitor where he prepares progress reports & initial reviews, conducts site inspections, tracks project budgets, ensures processing of payment certifications and serves as liaison between the lender and borrower. His balance of technical and soft skills is a highlight in this role. He is currently pursuing his Professional Quantity Surveyor Designation (PQS).

Estimator

Edwin is a construction management professional who recently graduated from Red River College Polytechnic but who has a decade of work-related experience in various facets of the construction industry. Currently, he is taking full advantage of his experience and applying the most up to date industry fundamentals to achieve his career goals. His industry insights and knowledge enable him to work alongside a qualified team of professionals to assist in monitoring construction loans and related duties to estimating.

Henco Linde <br /> CEC, Dipl. Tech (Civil Eng.)

Cost Consultant

Henco is a Quantity Surveyor / Project Controller with over 15 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Project Cost Control gained across Civil Engineering, Industrial, Mining, Alternative energy and Natural resources projects. He has a strong work ethic; excellent technical and communication skills and he takes a systematic approach to construction. Henco’s knowledge base is founded on a degree in Civil Engineering, a certificate as a Construction Estimator and his current pursuit of certification as a Professional Quantity Surveyor.

Abel Gutierrez <br /> B.Tech (CM)

Project Monitor

Abel is a seasoned construction professional with over two decades of industry experience. Abel has honed his skills across diverse areas, including concrete, drywall, general contracting, and investor consultation. His journey showcases a progression from hands-on roles to a comprehensive understanding of the industry. His skills range from demonstrating a keen ability to manage timelines efficiently, a profound knowledge of construction processes and procedures and an understanding of construction sequencing including navigating project timelines with precision, optimized workflow, and successful project outcomes. He considers himself approachable and one who can foster effective communication and collaboration with client and colleagues alike. Abel is poised to contribute significantly to project success by leveraging his expertise and blending practical experience with a rich skill set, making him an ideal fit for the challenges of construction project monitoring at Postma Consulting Ltd.

Jannelle Van Den Bosch <br /> BCD Hons.

Project Monitor

Jannelle joined Postma Consulting as a Project Monitor in 2024. She brings construction experience in design-build multi-family development, subtrade, and manufacturing industries, along with an educational background in drafting and urban planning. Jannelle’s role includes visiting project sites, tracking project budgets, preparing progress reports, and communicating with the lender and borrower.

With over twenty years of work experience in both the public education and private business sectors, Karen is a great fit to manage all the daily activities of our office. From client billing, accounts payable, payroll and banking to a wide variety of administrative duties, her organizational skills and ability to multi-task help ensure the effectiveness of our office and the consistency of its processes.
